HRIS integration

Jolly integrates with 50+ HRIS (Human Resources Information System) platforms to automatically sync your employee's birthday/anniversary data with Jolly.

HRIS integration is only limited to customers on an Enterprise plan. To subscribe to our Enterprise plan, please contact the Jolly support team at [email protected].

Connecting to HRIS

To connect Jolly to your HRIS software, do the following:

Open Jolly from your Slack sidebar

Press the "Home" tab

Press "Your Dashboard" button

Press the "Connect HRIS" button and select your HRIS platform from the list

Authentication process can vary depending on the HRIS platform. You'll be given instructions for the platform you select.

Wait for Jolly to connect to your HRIS software

This normally takes 5-10 minutes, depending on the HRIS platform.

Press the "Sync all birthdays/anniversaries now"

Syncing data from HRIS

After your HRIS platform is connected, Jolly will need to retrieve the data from your HRIS platform and sync all the birthdays/anniversaries for your employees. Jolly will not do that automatically after connecting, but you can manually start a new sync whenever you need to.

During sync, Jolly will retrieve the list of your employees from HRIS, match them to your Slack organization's users by email address and update the birthday/anniversary for these employees. You'll receive a DM in Slack once completed.

Keep in mind that changes made in your HRIS platform can take up to 24 hours to take effect.

To manually sync, do the following:

Open Jolly from your Slack sidebar

Press the "Home" tab

Press "Your Dashboard" button

Select "Manage HRIS integration"

Press the "Sync all birthdays/anniversaries now" button

Syncing can take a few minutes.

Auto-sync

By default, Jolly will run a weekly sync every Monday to retrieve any birthday/anniversary changes made in your HRIS platform. This also means that Jolly will auto-sync birthday and/or anniversary for all the new hires. Keep in mind that changes made in your HRIS platform can take up to 24 hours to take effect.

You can disable auto-sync from your HRIS integration.

Disconnecting HRIS

You can always disconnect Jolly from your HRIS integration. After you do this, Jolly won't be able to auto-sync your data. All existing birthdays and anniversaries will not change.

To disconnect, do the following:

Select "Manage HRIS integration"

Press the "Disconnect from HRIS" button
